|Sakurazawa High vs. Inashiro Industrial|
|Tournament||West Tokyo Tournament|
The Sakurazawa High vs. Inashiro Industrial is a high school baseball semi final match, held during the 89th National High School Baseball Championship qualifiers.
Summary of the GameEditThe second match of the semis is between the favorite Inashiro Industrial and the only public school left, Sakurazawa High. At game time, Inashiro is having a hard time hitting Akira Nagao's pitch, a knuckleball. At Inashiro's defense Narumiya returns the favor by similarly striking out Sakurazawa's 1-2-3 batters. On top of the second, at-bat is Harada who manage to hit the knuckleball, but with the ball going to a different direction from the last, the ball doesn't get far and he doesn't get on base. Narumiya is next who says will avenge Harada, annoying the latter. At-bat, Narumiya gets a little annoyed seeing a calm Akira on the mound and though Kunitomo instructed Narumiya to swing compactly, Narumiya struck out swinging. Sakurazawa cheers but Narumiya shuts them again with his pitching, while thinking that he won't lose a pitching game.
Narumiya continues to show off his pitching prowess. His fastball and his change-up, gives Sakurazawa's batters a hard time and now wonder how they can take a hit off Narumiya. Their morale is affected and their defense suffer. Inashiro on the other hand, is getting used to Akira's knuckle ball, with Carlos successfully landing a hit. Shirakawa sees the distracted third baseman, and hits the ball straight through his legs.
Top of the fourth, Inashiro is gaining their momentum. The base runner quickly steals second and the next hit is another error from Sakurazawa. There are now runners on first and third with no outs. While Sakurazawa continue to make errors, Inashiro displays their immense strength. Inashiro wins with a score of 11-0.
