|04||The Fall Tournament Begins!
Seidou will face Teito high at the first round of the Tournament. Seidou does a situational field practice while Teito work on their fielding that's known as the impenetrable defense.

|05||The Cold Rain
The first round of the tournament begins. Despite the rain, Furuya and Mukai square off, continuing to out batters with thier own pitching styles. At the bottom of the fifth however, the game is temporarily put into a halt due to the heavy rain. Will this long break affect the pitchers?

|06||Out of Order
The game finally resume and Mukai doesn't let Seidou score while Furuya seem to have lost the focus he's had before the break. Kataoka decide to switch pitchers, sending in Sawamura, who, despite pitching only to the outside, makes the best possible relief.

|07||Where I am
Seidou and Teito continue to hold their ground. Mukai continue to out Seidou's batters and while Sawamura allowed one big hit from Kengo, he is aware of the current limits of his abilities. At the bottom of the eighth, Maezono who hasn't made any hits yet will get to face Mukai with bases loaded. Will he finally get a hit off Mukai?

Teito's battery plan to distract Maezono with an inside pitch, then finish off with an outside. Maezono hits the inside, bringing all runners home. On top of the ninth, Kawakami struggle to get one more out but is calmed by Miyuki. After the match, Ochiai asks Kataoka why he chose to send Sawamura on top of the sixth. Kataoka answers, explaining that it's for the team to grow.

Seidou prepares for their upcoming match against Nanamori, and the players are motivated with the thought of getting the chance to avenge their summer loss against Inashiro in the third round. Nabe, Kudo and Higashio however, doesn't share the same level of motivation their teammates have, which Nabe later confess to Miyuki, and Miyuki takes it as Nabe wanting to quit the team.

|10||Did You Just Pitch...
The second round of the Fall tournament begin. In one stadium is Seidou High versus Nanamori Academy while in another stadium is Inashiro Industrial's match against Ugumori High. Seidou is up by five on top of the first. At the bottom, Sawamura starts for the first time, and is determined to throw to the inside after Nanamori's fourth batter confidently hits his outside pitch.

|11||The Underdog Story
Seidou wins their match against Nanamori. Meanwhile, Inashiro struggle to score more against Ugumori's ace, Umemiya Seiichi. At the bottom of the seventh, Umemiya reveals the trump card he's been hiding surprising Inashiro. In Inashiro's dugout, Kunitomo says the opponents are a step ahead of them and tells Narumiya it's about time he wakes up.

Inashiro Industrial and Ugumori High's match continue. On top of the eighth, Narumiya is sent to the mound but rejects Tadano's calls for a breaking ball to strike Umemiya out. He throws a fastball which Umemiya hits, resulting to Ugumori High turning the game around and eventually wins the game.

Ugumori's team celebrate their win over Inashiro Industrial while at Seidou, there is a fallout between Miyuki and Maezono. On the day of the match, Sawamura, Furuya, and Haruichi have a chance encounter with Umemiya in the washroom.

|14||On My Shoulders
The third round of the fall tournament begin. There is an air of tension at Seidou's dugout following Miyuki and Maezono's falling out. Miyuki however, reminds the team to focus on beating the opponent. At game time, Furuya is reminded of Umemiya's challenge, and disobeys Miyuki's lead.

|15||Persistent and Diligent
Miyuki and Maezono set aside their misunderstanding in order to win. Ugumori's team on the other hand, makes Furuya throw a lot and his pitch count has reached a hundred. Furuya however, stays persistent and diligent, pitching low strikes consistently to out the batters.

Seidou High continue to expand their lead. But despite being down by five runs, Ugumori's team remain optimistic. Finding inspiration from Matsubara's strong will he's continued to show the team, and the cheering crowd behind them, Ugumori's batters attack relentlessly with no plans of stopping.

|17||Shut Him Down!!!
After Seidou's failed attempt for a double play, the team is in a pinch with bases loaded and no outs. Still, Seidou decides to face Ugumori's momentum head on. Ugumori doesn't back down, managing to scale down Seidou's lead. Kataoka decides to have Furuya finish the eighth, then Sawamura to pitch in the ninth.

Sawamura replaces Furuya on the ninth and feels overwhelmed by the cheering crowd, as well as Umemiya's fighting spirit. Aware of Sawamura's state of mind but at full count, Miyuki decides on an inside pitch to strike Umemiya out.

Seidou High pulls off a double play to defeat Ugumori High while in a different stadium, Akikawa Academy loses to Yakushi High. At Seidou, Miyuki and Maezono are still in bad terms and later, Furuya's injury is found out.

With Miyuki and Maezono still at odds, Isashiki talks to Maezono while Miyuki seeks Yuuki's advice. The team is informed of Furuya's condition and Sawamura feels the fate of the team is now in his hands. During practice,Ochiai observes the players while thinking of his future coaching plans.

Days before the quarterfinals, the Ouya and Seidou baseball teams prepare for their up coming match-up. At Ouya, the team practice seemingly in a hurry, while at Seidou, Ochiai advices a few players, expresses his disappointment in Miyuki, and teaches Sawamura a breaking ball.

Sawamura is able to throw his own unique changeup. At game time, Miyuki calls for the change-up after Sawamura strikes out Ouya's first and second hole. Will Sawamura be able to throw it successfully in a real game?

Ouya High scores two runs at the bottom of the first and seems to have Seidou all figured out. Sawamura however, does a good job keeping Ouya to two runs. On top of the sixth and thanks to Nabe's scouting talent, Seidou have a plan to utilize against Ouya.

Aided by Nabe's keen observation on Ouya's plays, Seidou scores two runs on top of the sixth. Coach Araki is quick to realize Seidou's strategy and comes up with a counter.

Sawamura is praised by the coaching staff and his teammates for his performance the last match, and motivates both Furuya and Kawakami to improve. At practice, seeing that the non regulars work hard to earn a regular spot, Kataoka proposes an intra-squad match between the first and the second string.

The intra-squad match begins with Sawamura pitching for Team B. Ochiai, in charge of Team A, makes Haruichi use a metal bat instead of his signature wooden bat and then instructs the team to go for Eijun's high change-ups.

The intra-squad game continues. Kataoka's former coach, Sakaki Eijirou arrives and observes the team. He joins Haruno and Club President Oota in the staff room and tells the story of Kataoka when he was just fifteen and was then called "Demon Child".

The game begins. Seidou scores early in the game and expands their lead, prompting Seiko to switch their ace with Tsunematsu. Tsunematsu prevents Seidou from scoring more runs and at the bottom of the third, Seiko's powerful swings intimidates Furuya.

Seidou successfully prevents Seiko from scoring on top of the fourth with a double play. Furuya's injury however, seem to be hurting which Kudo notices. Kataoka wants to switch him out but Furuya is determined to continue pitching.

Seiko Academy scores another run on top of the seventh. At the bottom, Seiko's battery continue to strategically walk Miyuki. The next inning, Nagata hits a two-run home run off Sawamura. Will the home run affect Sawamura's confidence?

Seidou scores the first run of the game with Maezono's bat while Kawakami pitches strongly at the bottom. On top of the third, Seidou on scoring position and Miyuki at-bat, Raizou makes his move sending in Raichi to the mound to face Miyuki.

Kawakami continues to hold Yakushi's batters down. At the bottom, at-bat, he face off against Raichi. Kawakami hits but the strength of Raichi's pitch numbs his hand. Will this affect Kawakami's pitching?

With two outs but Kawakami's hand feeling numb from the impact of Raichi's pitches, he gives up a run. Sawamura is sent to pitch and throws his best fastball for the third out. At Yakushi's defense, Raichi's unpredictable control help strike Miyuki out.

Seidou takes back a run and makes Raichi realize what kind of place the mound is, pressuring him. Raizou swaps his players, sending Sanada to pitch who outs Higasa. Before Seidou's defense, Miyuki tells Kataoka to make the call if Kataoka sees that Miyuki is dragging the team down.

Sawamura face-off against Raichi who hit his fastball into left field. Sanada follows suit hitting Sawamura's cutter. With runners on first and third, Yakushi's captain, Hirahata bunts and Raichi runs home, putting Yakushi in the lead, 4-3.

At the top of the seventh, Sanada defeats the heart of Seidou's batting order. In the bottom of the seventh, Sawamura returns the favor by striking out Yakushi's 3rd, 4th and 5th batters.

At the top of the eighth, Seidou plays more aggressively to put pressure on Sanada. Sanada doesn't back down and successfully prevents Seidou from scoring. At the top of the ninth, Kuramochi fails to get on base. With one out, Tojou is next to bat. Will he manage to hit off Sanada?

Sanada wins the duel against Toujou, putting Yakushi only an out away from winning. Haruichi and Miyuki however, both make contact and gets on base. In a mend or break situation, Maezono bats but is quickly cornered. With their backs to the wall, will Maezono hit?

Seidou turns the game around and takes the lead at 4-5. At the bottom of the ninth, Sawamura asks Kataoka to pitch, but Kataoka decides to send Furuya to close out the game.

With Yakushi failing to score off Furuya, Seidou wins. The third years congratulate the team and Kataoka is brought to tears. Meanwhile, Sawamura challenges Furuya for the ace number.
