Furuya has changed a lot since Koshien and his game with Komadai. He's now obsessed with Hongou and is considering him as a "role model" and now he's going to try to become the best pitcher in Japan and sadly it's going to make it even harder for Eijun to surpass him. I feel sorry for Yui. Poor guy wanted to watch the pitches of the pitcher he respects a lot. Even sadder is there's no new chapter for two weeks! :(

I agree with you but I think Terajima has either changed his mind about Sawamura being the MC or he's upgrading Furuya so he can be very powerful so Eijun will push himself to become better and steal the ace number from him. If Eijun is to become ace, he should steal it for skill instead of Furuya being injured for the rest of high school because that would be better.

You can read the manga while waiting for the next season. There's a new chapter almost every week.

They were invited to participate in the Senbatsu despite being the runner-up and not winning the Fall Tournament. The baseball federation probably saw their talent and potential to do good. I read somewhere that about 32 teams can participate in the Senbatsu. 10 can immediately particpate because they won their district tournaments in the Fall and the other 22 have done really good in the tournament and are invited.

Here's what I think the reasons are. The coach probably doesn't trust Sawamura closing important games because of what happened in the summer final. Another reason is Furuya really wanted to play and Kataoka was the ace of the team and he remembered their conversation in the car and he probably would say the same thing to his former coach if he was in the same position as Furuya so he considered his feelings.

Dang. It will be a really long break since they have to wait for new chapters every week and animate them, hire voice actors.

I guess this means the final will finish on episode 50 and 51 will focus on the celebration and Meiji Jingu tournament. Season 3 will start with the winter training camp and New Year's. I think they will have to take a break or post recap episodes for a while, because there will be only 28 chapters after the season ends and that's not enough to continue the anime. 

Does anyone think there's enough chapters to cover the rest of season 2? After the Fall tournament final, there's the celebration afterwards, Meiji Jingu (that's very short) the winter training camp and the New Years. I'm not sure if there's enough chapters yet so they might do a lot of recap episodes or OVA's after the New Years episode.

If Terajima skips the Ugumori vs Teito game and only highlights the score or important parts in less than a chapter I'm going to be mad! I want to see how Umemiya and Mukai improved over the off season. In my opinion, Umemiya is the true defintion of the ace since he always cheers his teammates, calm, and is very similar to Goro Shigeno (from Major) they have the same voice actors so of course they are alike. I think Teito might win this one though, because they are the better team overall but Ugumori got some talented first years so it would be a great battle. Terajima, you better not skip through this exciting match up! 

Who else agrees the games in Act 2 are fast paced? Every game is like 2-3 chapters now which translates to 1 episode in the anime. In Act 1, the games are usually 10-20 chapters. I hope when Seido plays Ichidai or Inashiro, or we see good teams play each other Terajima makes it longer than 2-3 chapters and doesn't rush.

Yakushi has always been an enthusiastic team but after going to Koshien for the first time in their school's history I can understand why they would brag a lot. I don't like the author's writing that much. He says Yakushi has a "powerful" batting lineup but in reality the only good batters are Akiba, Mishima, Todoroki, and Sanada. I wonder why they have Masuda in the top of their lineup (he sucks and we have never seen him hit). I hope the 4 new first years will add some power to their team. Anyway, YES I called it! Yuki Masashi and Yui Kaoru made the first string! Now we might see a Yuki Masashi vs Narumiya showdown which will be awesome! The author also made Furuya have a ball control problem again even though his pitching was PERFECT when he played Komadai. I feel sorry for those two former first string players who got demoted. If anyone wants to read the new chapter you can find it on Tumblr, but it's raw.

After seeing him on the last episode I think it is Maki.

There are two open spots on the first string and those will likely be taken by Yuki Masashi and Yui Kaoru. Who is Kogami Kouta? He might be the player with the fractured leg and couldn't move into the dorm. We haven't seen him yet and does anyone have an idea of what position he plays? Also, how can Ochiai reccommend him when he hasn't even showed up yet? What does "not flashy but capable" mean?

Yuki Masashi is as good as batting as his brother! Man, he hit a home run in his first batting practice! Yui is good too and I feel sorry for Ono, because he will probably be demoted from the first string or replaced by Yui. Same for all the other third years and the benchwarmers on the first string. It's going to be tough losing to a first year in your last summer.

Kaido. Mayumura is on a higher level than Narumiya and Toshi is going to destroy him.

Goro is obviously stronger. This is very incomparable, because Goro is a professional player with years of experience and Sawamura is a high school player. If you compare Goro in high school with Sawamura now, then Goro is still stronger.

Seido will probably play Ichidai in the spring tournament and I'm looking forward to see how Amahisa pitches against Seido's lineup.
