Ichidai vs Yakushi Teito vs Yakushi Seido vs Inashiro Seido vs Yakushi Seido vs Ichidai Ichidai vs Inashiro Oya vs Teito
Im quite alfraid to see inashira vs seido, unless eijun become the ace and perfect his numbers by the time they fight against them. I have no confident with their batting lineup at all. Why do i have the feeling that only eijun will be able to batt against any stronger pitcher if he is angry? Is it because he is the MC and TJ want to make him a special case? Please keep on developing him more. I dont think it is strange at all if TJ make him that way, because we know eijun's strugles and it is not impossible or weird at all for him to be special than the other characters. I want to see match Seido vs Komadai only. But for that,they have to pass through inashiro.:)
I want to see Seiko vs. Seidou to measure Sawamura's growth as a pitcher against a team of power hitters. Last time, their cleanup hit a homer off him and Sawamura wasn't allowed to face him at-bat again, being replaced by Kawakami. I want to see how'd he do now, plus show that annyoing Ogawa who really is the best southpaw pitcher of their generation!
The most interesting match for me is always Seidou vs. Inashiro ... i hoping for Ace!Eijun & Catcher!Koushuu vs. Mei & Itsuki since there's been a lot of foreshadowing that the true rival of Mei is Eijun, but then i realize Mei is in his last year ;_;
Well, I don't think that we are going to see that because Miyuki's position is pretty much unshakeable as captain, 4th batter and best catcher on the team (if not in whole high school). Even if I'm Koushuu fan myself and hope to see him in the fall tournament as the main catcher.
Going back to the topic. I'm looking forward to match against Yura Engineering High School (school of Seidou ex-coach Sakaki Eijirou). It might be fun.
Totally agree with you, seidou batting line up right now is quite unreliable if we compared it to the last year. The senpais last year are so op and reliable. Eijun at bat seems so reliable now since he could make contact with the ball already. And we know eijun is so good with bunting maybe TJ will make him be the same with hitting but just from the bunting stance. It could be a great weapon since it could work as a bluff and confusing the pitchers. TJ being so secretive about the rest of the numbers is a good sign. Maybe it will be revealed when seidou facing inashiro. Or maybe we will see pitching face off between eijun and mei since both pitchers are so op the batters will have a really hard time hitting their pitches.
There are some obvious match-ups that has very high chances of happening although not all of them will be equally interesting.
1. Seidou vs Yakushi: is a rematch that's bound to happen although it is may not be as interesting as their previous matches because Seidou has already 2 - 0 Yakushi in all of their official meetings so the result should be very predictable if they were to meet again (and since the story seems to hint Seidou must finally qualifies for Koshien this Summer).
2. Seidou vs Ichidai: should be a highly interesting rematch and with Sawamura and Amahisa developing a friendly rivalry after the SF, it would be nice to see them expand on that rivalry on the mound in their next meeting.
3. Seidou vs Inajitsu: is a fated battle and without a doubt Terajima will try to make the most out of it making it a back and forth game just like their previous match and whether Seidou can come out on top or not, only Terajima will know and only at that point in time since he will likely goes random with the match development like he said and did for their previous match.
4. Seidou vs Yura: is a sort of a still unconfirmed but highly interesting match that will undoubt feature some strategical play between Kataoka and his former coach. It may even become a set-up stage for a new rivalry for Seidou to replace Inajitsu after Mei and co. graduate and Inajitsu loses some of their former strength and glory.
It would not be a surprise if Seidou were to face all of these 3 teams within the Summer Qualifier, which would become the testament to Seidou's growth and strength that they are finally readied for the National Stage although it would be just as easy for Seidou to face only Inajitsu in the Final. Regardless, the interesting matches are likely fresh matchups introduced later in the Summer Koshien after Seidou has qualified where new teams and players are introduced to keep the story fresh.
YAKUSHI 1st years vs INAJITSU (INASHIRO) 1st years .
