For those who missed it: Daiya no A - Act II started on 19th August (which isn't exactly spring anymore but we should just be happy that Terajima-sensei is back at it). Chapter I (Beyond the Dream) and II (Limelight) have already been published!

I think that Eijun will learn a new breaking ball and start to figure another breaking ball out as well as become the ace in the summer. I feel that someone is bound to be injured, (maybe even sawamura, God forbid), and that it's going to be a pitcher. I wanna punch Koshuu for getting mouthy with Eijun :( I guess Terajima wants to slowly build that relationship like Sawamura and Chris.
While it looks like you were right about the new pitch - I don't think they'll be another injury which makes Sawamura the ace. I think that in the spring finals Furuya will self-destruct while Sawamura rocks it. In a game like baseball, when on the defense, consistency is more important than your top potential performance. Plus - the whole series has hinted at such - talking about needing every pitch to be good - one bad pitch having the potential to ruin a game etc.
I really hope the speed of Eijun's pitches pick up as well. I also like how Koshuu watches Sawamura in the game against Kasugaichi like, "Dammit, I goofed". It's also really funny how Tetsu's little brother keeps striking out lol.
I don't like where the story is going right now. Eijun is the main character and i get the ploy of hyping Furuya and making them fight it out, but i feel like its way too one-sided. I want Eijun as the ace. The hype for Furuya is making the story and Eijun go down a dark road. Also even though plot armor probably dictates that Eijun will win out in the end; its making me a reader and fan feel irritated.
Thanks all for reading, I needed to get my frustrations out.
I read the manga and I love it, but I really can't wait for the anime!!
Doubt Sawamura will ever be caption, imo Kanemaru makes the most sence. For vice captains,I would say Toujou for sure.Honestly neither Furuya or Sawamura are captain/vicecaptain material.Sawamura is "too annoying" to be one and Furuya is way to quiet and uninvolved to be one.I cant think of anyone else in the 2nd years that could be a vice captain,so Yuuki Masashi is the only logical answer despite him being a year younger then the rest.He has that aura that is great for a team and he has potential to be a core player in the future. As far as the "MC problem" goes I honestly dont mind Furuya being the ace.Its a bit refreshing that the MC isnt op af,actually I like that he is the underdog.Just because he is the MC doesnt mean he should be the best pitcher.Doubt he will ever be ace,but who knows.
I have a question guys...
Why Yakushi participated in the Koshien??? cause It was defeated by Seidou...
Hi! That's because for Spring Koshien, besides the winner, the HS baseball association also gets to invite a team to play (but the invited team doesn't participate in the Meiji Jingu, only the winner will) :)
